Along with the rest of the country, Assam Health Department took an initiative called NISCHAYATA ‘Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme’ from Wednesday to combat the spread of COVID-19.

As per this targeted programme within the next one week, more than 50,000  swab samples will be collected from the suspected areas, infected with COVID 19.

During the programme mainly swab samples will be taken from

police officials, primary health officials, nurse, Asha-workers, people near the truck parking area, labour indulged with loading-unloading works, labours at the godown, labours indulged in bridge construction, workers at dhaba, hotel workers at different quarantine centres.

In Hojai district, deputy commissioner Dr Sadnek Singh launched ATSP programme in the presence of ADC Prashant Barua, ADC Gauri Shankar Das, additional superintendent of police Suman Chakraborty and near about 300 officials and staff at DC conference hall at Sankardev Nagar in Hojai on Wednesday.

The swab samples of all of them were collected.
