On the day when the total count of Covid19 positive cases registered in Assam increased to 4,605, a total of 231 persons have been discharged from hospitals in Assam on Wednesday.
Sharing the good news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday said the patients have been discharged from various civil, district and model hospitals in Assam after they tested negative.

“Discharge Alert~ Glad to share that 231 patients have been discharged today from various civil, district & model hospitals in Assam, after being tested negative,” health minister Sarma said in the tweet.
With the release of these patients, the total number of discharged cases in Assam has risen to 2,642.
The number of active Covid19 cases in the state now stands at 1,952.

“Total Discharged Patients – 2642. Active Patients – 1952,” Sarma added.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 8 persons while 3 cases have migrated from the state.
On Wednesday, Assam has registered a total of 95 Covid19 cases.
India’s overall Covid19 tally has crossed the grim milestone of 3.5 lakh on Wednesday.
The deadly Covid19 infection has claimed over 11,000 lives in the country.
