With an aim to stop the possible threat of community transmission of COVID-19 in Kamrup (Metro), the Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) on Wednesday chalked out new guidelines.

According to the new guideline, which will come into effect from Thursday, shops and the business establishments will now remain open from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday and shall remain closed on Sunday.

“Moreover, customers will have to wear masks and follow social distancing norms and shopkeepers will also have to do thermal scanning of every customer,” KCC president MK Jain said.

Jain further asked all to main distance from the drivers who have come to the state from outside to stop community transmission.
