The All Bodo Students Union greeted the entire student fraternity of Assam especially the Bodo medium students, those who have cleared the HSLC 2020 conducted by SEBA.

In this connection, the ABSU has been working for the quality education in the region especially the Bodo medium education by organizing various programmes such as in 2006 ‘The Year of Education’ with intense awareness for compulsory education meeting of educationists, teachers, students and guardians.
Since then there have been massive educational activities carried out by organizing multiple activities such as educational awareness, motivational lectures, career counseling, teachers and students conclaves, seminars, felicitations to teachers, guardians and students.
Throughout these years since 2006, the special award has been conferred to the HSLC top ten students from Bodo medium schools from entire Assam, by the name and title ‘Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Banta’.

In this year, the 15th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Banta 2020 was conferred from Salbari College Auditorium to the top ten students of first division from Bodo medium.
This award is conferred by All Bodo Students Union in the memory of Kamal Kumar Brahma, who in his lifetime was one of the ideal Bodo educationists.
The 15th Kamal Kumar Brahma Derhasat Banta award comprises an aronai, citation, dictionary and biography of renowned personalities and cash award of Rs 5000.
This award is conferred every year and it will continue to be celebrated by ABSU to encourage the student fraternity for the better future of their career and the nation as a whole.
Saturday’s event was presided by president of ABSU, Dipen Boro and the chief guest was Dr Rupali Swargiary of Tamulpur HS School, Baksa.
The guests of honour were Jagath Ch Basumatary, principal, Salbari College and Dr Sansuma Boro, principal, Dhakin Guwahati College.
Among the other guests present in the felicitation function was Romeo P Narzary, former vice president of ABSU.
