Assam has reported 195 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Friday night, after which, the state’s overall tally has climbed to 3,693.
Confirming the report, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday night at 11:55 pm tweeted, “Alert ~ 195 new #COVID19+ cases reported in Assam today. Total cases 3693 Recovered 1584 Active cases 2098 Deaths 08 11:55 PM /June 12/Day’s total 263#AssamCovidCount.”

Sources said three doctors at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have also tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday.
The infected doctors were in quarantine centre at the Vivanta by Taj hotel in Guwahati, said the source.
Assam has so far reported 3,693 positive cases of the deadly virus, of these, 1,584patients have been discharged from hospitals after full recovery.
A total of 263 positive cases were reported in the state on Friday.
The state now has 2,098 active positive cases of coronavirus.
Eight positive patients have died of Covid-19 in the state, with two deaths reported on Friday.
