On the day when the COVID19 positive cases increased to 2,776, a total of 119 more patients, who were earlier infected by the virus, have been discharged from various hospitals across Assam on Monday.
Sharing the good news through his Twitter handle, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday night said 45 patients have been discharged from Golaghat district hospital and 26 patients have been discharged from Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH).
The health minister also informed that a total of 15 patients have been discharged from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital (FAAMCH), 10 patients have been discharged from Kokrajhar district hospital.
A total of 9 patients have been discharged from Tezpur Medical College Hospital (TMCH) and 6 patients have been discharged from Tinsukia district hospital.
The health minister said 4 patients have been discharged from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), 2 other patients have been discharged from Bongaigaon district hospital and 2 other patients have been discharged from Diphu Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

With the newly-discharged cases, the total number of discharged patients in Assam stands at 784.
The number of active COVID19 patients in Assam now stands at 1,985.
On Monday, a total of 148 COVID19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals in Assam.
“Total Discharged Patients – 784. Active Patients – 1985,” Sarma added.
Assam on Monday reported the 5th death due to COVID19 infection in Karbi Anglong.
However, health minister Sarma is yet to officially declare it.
