Kejriwal on Saturday had said that Delhi government has decided to deploy health department officials in private hospitals to ensure availability of beds to each and every COVID-19 patient.
He further said that every hospital built on government land will have to treat COVID-19.
“The government will take strict action against hospitals that refuse to treat such patients,” the Delhi CM had further said.
Kejriwal also said that some of the private hospitals in New Delhi have indulged in the “black marketing of beds” during the pandemic.
“I want to warn them that such a hospital will not be spared,” Kejriwal had said.
Hours after Kejriwal’s warning, the Congress described him as a “helpless” chief minister and also accused him of misleading the people.
The Delhi Congress further said that Kejriwal should apologise to the people of Delhi.
