BJP’s Digboi MLA Suren Phukan categorically terming the service of NGO-run Vigen India as ‘noble , cheap and effective’ in providing health care services to the people throughout admitted that he himself was fully cured after undergoing a therapy course at Vigen India recently.
Phukan admitted it in his address at the inaugural ceremony of the Digboi centre of Vigen India at Borbil near the ASTC bus stand on Sunday morning.
The programme, which was attended by Digboi MLA Phukan as the Chief Guest, was also attended by a host of dignitaries including the State pensioner and scholar Punya Saikia, Charaideo DSP Hemanta Baruah, General Manager of AOD Hospital Dr PC Goswami, Inspector at Digboi Police Station Mahesh Bora, vice-president of the Charaideo unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) Ranjit Changmai, Regional Director of Vigen India Champak Sharma and Vigen India’s Zonal Manager Bubu Chowdhury along with the Chief Manager of the Tinsukia Branch of State Bank of India Ranjit Gogoi.
All the speakers delivering speech at the programme almost in the same vein lauded the efforts of the organization for providing health related awareness and administering therapy of various kind to get rid of ailments like slip disk, arthritis, backache, tonsils, paralysis, thyroid, constipation and so on.
Talking to Northeast Now, Bhaskar Baruah, the owner of the newly-opened Digboi centre, who was honoured with the country’s ‘outstanding service award’ for his Duliajan centre for successfully achieving 80 per cent mark in curing patients suffering from several ailments in Dibrugarh district told that the organization presently having 300 centers across India has been serving the people selflessly providing various therapies and spreading health related awareness among them.
When asked about the cost of treatment, Baruah informed that the organization would provide six months’ free treatment to anyone who approaches the Digboi centre and later a nominal fee ranging between Rs 20 to Rs 30 per month would be charged per individual based on the decision of the top management team including the global CEO Chung Sin Ja, who might even extend free services.
According to him, patients with various ailments will be treated in the Digboi centre using different therapies including Moxibustion, Acupressure, Chiropractic, Full body massage, Neck massage, ETS, Stimulator, etc. which are ‘most effective’ therapies.
The Digboi centre of the Vigen India Ma Health Care Medical Therapy started its service the same afternoon wherein the guests and other people with different ailments were treated by a team of nine trained nurses appointed from various locations of Upper Assam.
