Arunachal Pradesh has registered 5 more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 27.
Confirming the news, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu in a tweet on Tuesday said the new positive cases were confirmed at 4.40 pm on the day.
He, however, said all the positive cases are asymptomatic.
The chief minister informed that 4 COVID19 positive cases have been reported from Itanagar while the other case is from Lohit district.
He further said all of the infected patients were in quarantine centre and they are being shifted to the Covid Care Centre.
“As on 2nd June, 4:40 pm, 5 new Positive asymptomatic cases have been reported; Itanagar-4 and Lohit-1.
All are in Quarantine facility centre being shifted to Covid Care Centre,” chief minister Khandu tweeted.
With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases registered in Arunachal Pradesh so far has risen to 26, the chief minister added.
Earlier in April, the state’s first positive case was discharged from the hospital after recovery.
“Total Positive: 27. Active Positive: 26. Discharged: 1,” the chief minister added.
On Tuesday, India recorded 8,171 cases in a day.
The total tally of COVID19 positive cases in the country now stands at 1.98 lakh with 5598 deaths.
On Sunday, India became the seventh worst-hit country in the world due to COVID19.
The number of active COVID19 cases in India sands at 97,581 as per the Union Health Ministry data.
