One person was found COVID-19 positive in Tripura central jail on Monday night.
This has triggered panic among the jail staff.
The central jail is located at Prabhurampur at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala District.
The person who was found COVID-19 positive has been shifted to Bhagat Singh Yuba Awas Covid health care centre on Monday night itself.

According to police and jail staff he was arrested on May 26 last and that day he produced to Bishalgarh court.
From there he was sent to three days police remand.
On May 29 he sent to jail and since then he was staying at the central jail.
He was arrested in a NDPS Act (The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act) by Madhupur police.
The case number was 57/19.
He was absconding for last one year.
Another four youth were arrested with him and they are also in the jail.
Now they are separated from the other jail inmates.
Police sources said may be the youth who was found positive in jail went to Bangladesh where he got the infection.
On Monday night, Tripura registered 102 new cases of COVID-19.
