One more person tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Thursday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 21.
Chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday night in a tweet said a person, who had travelled from Haryana, has tested positive for the infection.
“Another person who had travelled from Haryana has turned out positive. Person is in Tura and under quarantine. Total cases: 21, Recovered: 12, deceased: 1, active cases:8,” Sangma tweeted.
With the five new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya increased to 21.
On Wednesday five persons, who had returned from Delhi and Haryana recently, tested positive for COVID-19.
Twelve persons of the state have recovered from coronavirus while one person had died.
