Six more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 121.
In a tweet state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ” Six new #COVID19 + cases confirmed – 2 each from Jorhat and Golaghat and 1 each from Kokrajhar & Nagaon.”

“One Jorhat patient had returned from Chennai, while other came from Darjeeling. All are in quarantine. Total – 121,” the tweet added.
The Chennai-returned patient has been identified as 30-year-old Thaneswar Boro and the Darjeeling-returned patient has been identified as 40-year-old Shalinee Mal.
The patients from Golaghat have been identified as Babul Ali and Manowar Hussain and they were quarantined in Kaziranga quarantine centre on May 16.

It may be mentioned here that seven persons were found COVID-19 positive in Assam on Monday as well.
