A total of 14 BSF personnel, who were undergoing treatment at GBP hospital in Agartala, after they tested positive for COVID19, were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after their recovery.
The Border Security Force personnel taken by the officials of the force and they will be under quarantine for 14 days.

This was informed by Tripura education minister Ratan Lal Nath in the evening on Wednesday.
Tripura so far has registered 155 COVID19 positive cases out of which 151 are from the BSF.
They are either BSF jawans or their family members.

They all are from the battalions based in Ambassa under Dhalai district of the state.
On Wednesday, another BSF official tested positive for COVID19.
Following the release of the 14 BSF personnel from the GBP hospital of Agartala, now 138 patients are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Minister Nath said on Thursday, few other BSF personnel will be discharged from the hospital.
He informed that a three-member expert committee will arrive in Agartala on Thursday to find out the root of the COVID19 infection among the BSF jawans.
The team will be led by Dr. GK Medhi, the head of the department of community medicine at NEIGRIHMS.
Nath said the Tripura government has sent a letter to the central surveillance unit to find out the root cause of the COVID19 that spread among the BSF personnel.
While sharing a video of the BSF personnel being discharged from the hospital, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar deb tweeted: “Happy to share that 14 #BSF #COVID19 patients got discharged from GB hospital, Agartala today.”
“Now they will be under surveillance at institutional quarantine center.”
“I pray for the speedy recovery of all the COVID19 patients,” the chief minister added.
