The deputy commissioner of Tirap in Arunachal Pradesh, Bhanu Prabha on Tuesday felicitated the frontline health workers of the district workers who have been risking their lives for the safety of all others.

The felicitation programme also marked International Nurses Day, which is observed around the world on May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, of each year, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society.

While felicitating the nursing staff of the Khonsa general hospital, the deputy commissioner appreciated them for their selfless services which they have been delivering since day one of the COVID-19 pandemic, that too with limited resources.

Prabha further assured to extend all possible help from the district administration’s end to the health workers to defeat COVID-19.

Among others, district medical officer Dr Koblem Mossang was also present during the felicitation programme.

Prabha had on Monday visited the general hospital to take stock of the preparedness and the availability of health equipment.
