Seventeen new COVID-19 cases were reported in Tripura on Saturday, taking the count in the state to 135.
The fresh COVID-19 cases were again found from BSF 86th battalion and 138th battalion at Ambassa in Dhalai district.
Chief minister Biplab Deb on Saturday night said in a tweet that 17 BSF personnel from 86th battalion at Ambassa in Dhalai district found positive on Saturday.

As many as 30 new COVID-19 cases—29 BSF jawans and a truck driver—were reported in Tripura on Friday.
Dhalai district has been declared a ”red zone” and three locations, including the headquarters of the 138th battalion of the BSF, a camp at Gandacherra village and the Kareena border outpost have been designated as containment zones.
