Yatum Ete donets face masks to poor.

In yet another exemplary humanitarian gesture, one Yatum Ete a visually impaired individual from Pasighat in East Siang district on Thursday handed over 350 facemasks to the East Siang district administration for further distribution to the needy ones.

Ete, who runs a small shop near the Pasighat bus stand, lost his vision many years ago.

Officials informed that Ete decided to donate the facemasks his bid to support the East Siang administration after he came to know that wearing of masks was made mandatory to prevent the spread of Coronavirus through radio programmes and news.

“He donated the facemasks today saying that using of mask is a great idea to limit our potential exposure to the said dreaded virus,” officials said.

East Siang DIPRO Deepali Dodum received the masks from Ete on behalf of the administration.

The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Pasighat led by its district youth coordinator Tapun Taki also distributed 450 masks to the daily wage earners a few days ago.

East Siang deputy commissioner Dr Kinny Singh has appreciated the gestures of Ete, Taki and all the other individuals and organizations for their contributions during this unprecedented time.
