Save Agra before it becomes next Wuhan, writes city mayor to UP deputy CM

Agra reported 10 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the city’s tally to 381, informed district magistrate Prabhu N Singh.

“The total number of cases in Uttar Pradesh has climbed to 1,868 including 29 deaths. So far 289 persons have recovered,” Singh informed.

Meanwhile, earlier on Saturday Kanpur reported 33 new cases and thus becoming another coronavirus hotspot of UttarPradesh.

Agar’s mayor Naveen Jain, meanwhile, urged Uttar Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Verma to save the city.

“Save Agra before it becomes the next Wuhan,” Jain said to Verma.

“If coronavirus situation in Agra is not managed properly, it may resemble Wuhan,” he further added.

In the other hand, Kashmiri students stranded in Agra sought Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s help to return to their homes in Kashmir.

The students, including four women, are aged between 19 and 25 years.
