Agra reported 10 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the cityโ€™s tally to 381, informed district magistrate Prabhu N Singh.

โ€œThe total number of cases in Uttar Pradesh has climbed to 1,868 including 29 deaths. So far 289 persons have recovered,โ€ Singh informed.

Meanwhile, earlier on Saturday Kanpur reported 33 new cases and thus becoming another coronavirus hotspot of UttarPradesh.

Agarโ€™s mayor Naveen Jain, meanwhile, urged Uttar Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Verma to save the city.

โ€œSave Agra before it becomes the next Wuhan,โ€ Jain said to Verma.

โ€œIf coronavirus situation in Agra is not managed properly, it may resemble Wuhan,โ€ he further added.

In the other hand, Kashmiri students stranded in Agra sought Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanathโ€˜s help to return to their homes in Kashmir.

The students, including four women, are aged between 19 and 25 years.
