Villagers of Bargandubi village in Barpeta district of Assam, however, were not happy with Bajali Zilla BJP present Nagen Choudhury when he went to distribute relief materials in the village.

The villagers alleged that Choudhury, after arriving at the village called the people to collect relief material, however, refused to distribute after distributing to four people.

They said the Choudhury got into a heated argument with some villagers, following which he refused to distribute the materials.

Later, Giridhar Choudhury, a senior advocate of Pathsala town distributed essential commodities to the needy people of Bajali sub-division.

He visited Bargunari village and distributed relief to them and urged the people to obey the lockdown norms to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Till the filing of this report, Giridhar Choudhury distributed packages of essential commodities among 1900 families in Bajali sub-division.
