A total of 6.5 lakh test kits for rapid test of COVID-19 have been dispatched to India from Guangzhou airport in China on Thursday.
Taking to Twitter, India’s Ambassador to China Vikram Misri revealed the same saying that the test kits also includes Rapid Antibody Tests and RNA Extraction Kits.
“A total of 650,000 kits, including Rapid Antibody Tests and RNA Extraction Kits have been despatched early today from Guangzhou Airport to India,” Misri tweeted.
Meanwhile, Assam on Wednesday got about 50,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits from Guangzhou city in China.
A special aircraft landed in Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport with the PPEs that have been imported from China to be used by the doctors and nurses while fighting against COVID-19 in Assam.
The huge consignment was received by by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with his deputy Pijush Hazarika.
India’s total coronavirus cases surged to 12380 on Thursday, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total tally, 10477 patients are active cases while 1489 have been cured, discharged or migrated.
The death toll due to coronavirus cases has increased to 414 so far.
