The district administration of eastern Assam’s Dibrugarh on Saturday conducted a mock drill with real case scenario to check the preparedness of staff/team who have been trained to deal the situation in case a COVID-19 patient is detected.
The entire medical team, ambulance team and other staff/officers were unaware of the drill except top officials of the district administration.
“We have conducted the mock drill to check our preparedness. It will help us to rectify the mistake, if any,” said Dr Naba Jyoti Gogoi, nodal officer of joint director of health services, Dibrugarh.
He regretted for the inconvenience caused to general public in this regard.
He also informed that no positive case has been detected in Dibrugarh district so far.
