The Nagaland government has informed that 60 samples were sent for testing for COVID-19 till 5 pm on Monday, of which 47 tested negative.

“The results of 13 samples are still awaited,” informed a health department official.

Sources informed that the number of isolation beds in the designated COVID-19 hospitals in the state has increased to 489.

“The total number of personal protective equipment (PPEs) across Nagaland now stands at over 23,000,” the official added.

The official further informed that the Nagaland government further acquired a total of 44,051 N95 masks and these are being distributed in the various districts of the state.

“More consignments of medical equipment and accessories including N95 masks are likely to reach the state in the coming weeks,” the official added.

It was further informed by the official that the state health and family welfare department so far has procured 70 ventilators and it is aimed to increase the numbers to over 300.
