The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed on Monday all about the circulation of fake notices on social media.
These notices, which claim to be circulated by the CBSE, are mostly related to board exams, evaluation and pass criteria.
“These fake notices are mainly aimed at misleading students and parents,” CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi said on Monday.
“The board has in the recent past taken strict action against rumour mongers. We have filed FIRs against individuals,” Tripathi said.
“We have also booked them under the IT act. We will be again compelled to trace the sources and book these miscreants under law,” he added.
“We request the public, as well as the media, to kindly check into our official website www.cbse.nic.in for confirmation,” Tripathi further said.
