All four family members of the lone coronavirus patient in Arunachal Pradesh whose swab samples were sent for laboratory tests, have tested negative, chief minister Pema Khandu said.
“After the first positive #Covid19 case in Lohit, four of his immediate family members sample were collected and sent for test. The result of all four is Negative,” Khandu tweeted on Saturday.
The 31-year-old non-tribal hailing from Medo area under the Wakro circle in Lohit district on Thursday tested positive for COVID-19.
The man attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi last month.
He is undergoing treatment at an isolation ward in the Zonal General Hospital at Tezu.
Test results of six more non-Arunachal persons who took part in the congregation, were found negative, Khandu said.
Chief minister Khandu said out of the 80 samples collected so far in the State, 61 have been found negative, one positive and results of the remaining 18 samples are awaited.
