A seven-member Singpho family and three others hailing from Arunachal Pradesh are presently stranded in Tamil Nadu due to sudden 21-day nationwide lockdown call.

Unable to move out from the state, the family has asked from help from each and everyone who could possibly help them including the government.

The stranded members of the family are- Jabow Singpho, Diganta Singpho, Jaingko Singpho, Jabow Singpho, Amaiko Singpho, Luja singpho(19), Khontu Singpho and Nongong Singpho.

The three other persons from Arunachal Pradesh are Itimaya Lama, Purnima lama and Nikita Urang.

“We belong to Kherem Bisa village of Bordumsa circle in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh,” said Jabow Singpho in a telephonic conversation with Northeast Now.

“We are stuck here at Anupparpalayam,  Thilagar Nagar in Tamil Nadu due to the nationwide lockdown,” he added.

“We are facing a lot of problems, especially to meet our daily requirements. We are almost out of money,” Jabow Singpho added.

They further informed that on the third day of the lockdown they contacted local MLA Somlung Mossang, who helped them with the financial assistance of Rs 20,000.
