In the wake of coronavirus pandemic, the Centre has postponed the strategic disinvestment process of Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) by over a month.
The centre has postponed the date of submission of expression of interest (EoI) by interested bidders to June 13 from May 2.
The Centre further announced that the bidders now will have to send their written query to preliminary information memorandum (PIM) on BPCL disinvestment by May 16.

In an official statement, it was mentioned that the changes have been made in view of the requests received from interested bidders and the prevailing situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic.
“Further changes with respect to the Important Dates, if any, will be communicated to the interested bidders subsequently,” the statement added.
