Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has tested positive for coronavirus for the fifth consecutive time.
Kanika is presently admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS).
Director of the institute RK Dhiman said that the patient’s condition is stable and is taking food normally.
Sample tests are being carried out on the COVID-19 patients for every 48 hours.
The singer was hospitalized on March 20 after she tested positive for Coronavirus, had returned from London on March 9.
She had travelled to Kanpur and Lucknow after that and during her stay she developed cough and fever.
After she tested positive, she was slammed by the media for attending parties and spreading the virus though none of those who came into contact with her tested positive.

She was also criticized by the hospital administration for her ‘starry behaviour.’
After her fourth test came positive, she wrote an emotional post on Instagram, saying that she misses her family and wishes to be with them.
She had also hoped that her next test would come negative.
“Going off to bed.Sending you all loving vibes. Stay safe you guys. Thank you for your concern but I am not in the ICU. I am fine. I hope my next test is negative,” wrote Kanika.
