BTAD DIG, Violet Baruah have come forward to help the poor and downtrodden people of the Bodo belt of Assam by providing ration including rice, cereal and vegetables during COVID-19 lockdown.

The lady officer has also exhorted the people to co-operate the police in these trying times and use mask and sanitizer for keeping the coronavirus at bay.

The teachers’ fraternity of Kokrajhar has also contributed its fair share towards the government and has hit the streets to conduct awareness against the novel coronavirus.

Sumitra Sinha, a teacher of Kokrajhar Higher Secondary School donated her one month salary of Rs 51, 650 to the Assam government to help for the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic.

While 32 teachers including its Principal, R N Sinha of Kokrajhar Science College have donated their one day salary amounting to Rs 2, 50,000 to the government.
