Chinese technological company Huawei has made an offer to India the technologies it has used in China’s Hubei province to control and monitor the spread of COVID-19.
Huawei said that it has made good use of its technology to control the massive outbreak of coronavirus in a number of places in China.
With the 5G network available in China, Huawei said that the operators use its technology on 5G to address on-ground communication challenges.
According to the company, the four key areas where its technology could make a difference include live video-streaming, remote collaboration, remote diagnosis and treatment, and remote protection, which can play an important role in fighting the pandemic.
Huawei India said these were all telemedicine solutions that can also work on 4G network with good connectivity.
The total number of coronavirus cases in India increased to 979 on Sunday.
Out of the total 979 cases, 86 have recovered or have been discharged.
Union minister for home affairs Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on preparations to fight the COVID-19 epidemic in New Delhi on Saturday.
In the meeting, Shah said that as per the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is leaving no stone unturned to put in place adequate arrangements to make daily essentials accessible to common people.
The Government is fully committed to ensure the safety and security of every citizen, he added.
