West Bengal Police has recently released a recruitment notification for 139 vacant posts.
According to the notification, the West Bengal government has sanctioned to fill up 139 posts of technical staff in different ranks in West Bengal Police for operating fast interceptor boats, flat bottom vessel, water scooter (jet ski) of coastal police stations under coastal security scheme.
The various vacant posts include Sub-Inspector (Crew Comprising Master) (24), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Crew Engine Driver) (23), Constable (Crew) (92).
Male candidates retired from Indian Navy/Indian Coast Guard/BSF Water Wing/Indo Tibetan Border Police (Water Wing) are only eligible to apply.
To apply for the vacant posts, one should not exceed 45 years as on January 1, 2020.
The pay scale for sub-inspector posts is Rs 32100-Rs 82900 whereas for assistant sub-inspector post it is Rs 27000-Rs 69800.
The pay scale for constable post is Rs 22700-Rs 58500.
Due to the massive outbreak of COVID-19, the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has decided to postpone the commencement of application window scheduled to become operative on March 24, 2020.
Further date of opening of application window will be intimated later.
