The Sivasagar district administration has set up a Control Room in view of Corona Virus infection (COVID-19).
The Control Room has been set up on Friday at Sivasagar Circuit House under District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
The Control Room will remain open 24×7 and for any guidance or any help public can directly contact at the helpline numbers 1077 (Toll-free), 03772-223397 and 84718-64355.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, DDMA will remain in charge of the Control Room set up under DDMA, Sivasagar.
He will be assisted by Rupamjyoti Bora, District Project Officer, DDMA, Sivasagar and other field officers of DDMA, Sivasagar accordingly.
The Control Room has been set up as per the direction of the Assam Chief Secretary given during a video conference held on March 13, 2020.
The initiative has been taken in view of the coronavirus or COVID-19 attaining global proportions and already different countries have reported cases of infection.
In view of the increasing number of infections and deaths globally from COVID-19, the Government of Assam as per instructions of Government of India has initiated multiple steps to prevent incidents of coronavirus infection in the state of Assam.
