The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is all set to organise the third edition of Emerging Northeast in Guwahati.
The three day event will be held at city’s Maniram Dewan Trade Centre from February 27 to February 29.
The event is supported by ministry of food processing and industries, ministry DoNER, department of tourism and department of skill development.
Over 5000 key stake-holders from industries, institutions, embassies, experts, investors and Government officials are expected to participate in this mega event.
Deepak Sood, secretary-general ASSOCHAM said, “With the success of the first two editions of Emerging Northeast, we are back with the third edition which aims at a holistic development of the North-eastern region.
“This event has been a great knowledge-sharing platform and a place where buyers and sellers can associate directly catalysing growth in investments, business and commerce in the region”.
Some of the focus areas of the event are Agro, MSME, Food Processing projects, Horticulture, Tea, Spices, Medicinal Plants, Poultry, Fisheries, Piggery, Dairy, Coir, Bamboo, rural craft products, Eco, Agro, Nature Tourism, commerce, energy & infrastructure, skills, Jobs and Entrepreneurship, security, social and rural development.
Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi will inaugurate this mega event on February 27.
