Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday invited the business communities of Bangladesh in Dhaka to visit Meghalaya and explore opportunities.
The Meghalaya CM met the business communities in Dhaka at the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Chief minister Conrad Sangma, who has led a delegation from Meghalaya, is in Dhaka on a Bangladesh tour from November 5-8.
Informing about the interaction with the business communities in Dhaka, Conrad tweeted: “It was wonderful to engage with the business communities in Dhaka at the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry.”
“Have invited them to visit Meghalaya & explore opportunities, the State will offer to foster & strengthen business relationship,” he added.

On Wednesday, the Meghalaya chief minister also interacted with Bangladesh commerce minister Tipu Munshi in presence officials.
Informing about the meeting with Munshi, Conrad Sangma said the interaction with the Bangladeshi minister was “fruitful”.
Conrad said the meeting was held “to chalk out and identify key sectors for promotion of trade and commerce between the two countries”.

The Meghalaya CM started off his engagements with the neighbouring country on Monday.
The CM held a meeting with representatives of the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sylhet on Monday.
The Meghalaya CM said: “Promising outcome from the meetings with Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Sylhet, Bangladesh.”
“Looking forward to meaningful and collaborative associations with Indian counterpart to promote business opportunities,” he added.
Sangma has been accompanied by transport minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, education minister Lahkmen Rymbui and agriculture minister Banteidor Lyngdoh, senior officials, entrepreneurs and tour operators.
