“We will make massive efforts to make Mizoram a role model and an epitome of development in all sectors,” said Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Friday.
“The state government would introduce a unique as well as an unusual system to usher in all-round development,” the CM reiterated.
The Cm was addressing a gathering after inaugurating 14 board offices under the state’s flagship programme, Socio-Economic Development Policy (SEDP) at Secretariat Building Annex-II, Treasury Square.
“Efforts would be made to make Mizoram self-dependent in food grains and meat products,” the Mizoram CM further said.
“We have introduced a flagship programme called SEDP and to implement the programme and monitor development in various sectors the 14 boards have been constituted,” he said.
The newly launched SEDP would cover all development sectors with economic and social sectors being the prime focus, the CM said.
Zoramthanga further said that the SEDP would not be used for distributing money unlike the erstwhile Congress’ New Land Use Policy (NLUP).
